I don't much care for garlic, so I would never have purchased this. But Nina asked me to try it at her place, so I did. Honestly, it was so mild that I didn't even identify it as being predominantly garlic. But I still didn't like it.
Sorry for the lousy photo.
Will I buy it again?
No.
So, in the interest of balance, let's just say THIS STUFF IS SPREADABLE CRACK. It's ridiculously delicious. It is a wonderful mixture of mellow garlic and bright lemon. I suspect Bob didn't like it because he was primed to be suspicious because I asked him to taste it without telling him what it was first.
ReplyDeleteYou know what this would be fabulous with?
EVERYTHING.
But seriously: sandwich spread, artichoke, corn on the cob, green beans… so many things.
I’m with Nina here, this stuff is AMAZING. I’ve had some containers that are mild and others that have a serious kick- maybe it varies batch to batch or how fresh it is...?
ReplyDeleteI just dip my sugar snap peas in it since i snack on those constantly

I wasn't sure how healthy something that is primarily canola oil would be, but I'm trying to eliminate dairy. This tastes better than dips made with sour cream and it's totally non-dairy. And you can't go wrong with garlic and lemon juice, so I'll take my chances with the canola oil.
