These are OK, but not great. They're among the softest sugar cookies I've ever had, which is not a compliment. A little frosting on sugar cookies is acceptable, but it's much too thick here.
Will I buy it again?
No. Store-bought sugar cookies are never as good as homemade, but even with appropriately lowered expectations, these don't measure up.
These look comparable to Lofthouse sugar cookies, a brand that some people really love. I wonder how they compare. They’re definitely a specific type of sugar cookie - cakey and with lots of fluffy frosting.
ReplyDeleteI passed these by because i suspected they were exactly as you describe... aka not what i want when i want a cookie! I'm much more enthusiastic about the various german and european cookies , especially the cinnamon stars and stroop waffles!
