A year ago, Trader Joe's then-new Butterscotch Shortbread Wreath Cookies won me over, and joined my Top Ten list. So did the non-seasonal variant that came out a short time later. Now there's a chocolate version. Will it be as good?
Sadly, no. They have none of the fabulous buttery richness that made the originals so delectable. They're just ordinary baked chocolate cookie dough. There's nothing particularly wrong with them, but also nothing that makes me love them or want more.
Will I buy it again?
No.
