Trader Joe's Soy Cheese Blend Cheese Alternative

This tastes nothing like cheese. It doesn't melt as nicely. And it's made with dairy-derived casein, so it's not even vegan-friendly.

Frankly, I can't imagine why anybody would want to use it.

Will I buy it again?

No.

  1. I agree, this blend is quite horrible. The vegan mozzarella shreds are better, they melt well, but best as an ingredient in a casserole or for pizza- don't eat it straight from the bag!
As a cheese deprived lactose intolerant person i get the vegan moz on occasion but generally just live without it.

The vegan cream cheese is really good!

    1. But ""All cheese is okay for the lactose intolerant," says cheese guru Liz Thorpe, author of The Cheese Chronicles. "One of the greatest myths is that you can't eat cheese if you're lactose intolerant."

  2. This the Best Plant based Cheeze blend we've found, it actually melts on grilled Cheeze sandwiches.
