A note about coffee

Everything is coffee right now at Trader Joe's. Coffee ice cream, coffee cookies, coffee body butter, etc. They're doing with coffee this year what they did with mango last year.

I'm having none of it.

I've literally never had a cup of coffee in my life, and I'm not about to start. The few times I've tried coffee- or mocha-flavored things, I've found them foul and revolting.

Coffee. Ick. I do not like it in a boat. I do not like it with a goat.

I will not be trying any of these dozens of new products. And you should be glad that I'm not, because the reviews would all just be, "Yuck, that's disgusting."

I hope this TJ's coffee craze will soon pass, so they can get back to making stuff that I want to try--both for myself and for my readers.

  1. I learned to drink it and I have 1 cup a day. Most people say that I don't drink coffee because I load it up with milk and sweetener.

It always smelled good to me. Took be a long time to develop a taste for it. And now, I only want the one cup.

  3. Thanks for your note on this- i do love coffee myself but that is exactly what i like, the coffee. Not coffee flavored stuff or things that should not taste like coffee (like yogurt or cookies). Even coffee lovers have limits.

  4. I love coffee and had heard that TJ's has some good choices. When TJ's finally came to town, we went down to check it out and I was surprised to not find any whole coffee beans. It took several trips to figure out that TJ's coffees are packaged differently than most. At TJ's, the whole beans are in a round "can" (actually cardboard) and the ground coffee is in a bag. I also recently discovered that if you are at TJ's and find beans in a bag, buy it!! It's a specialty, limited time only coffee and my experience with those has been quite good.
